Bloodborne Pathogens: Online Course
The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course teaches participants how to protect themselves and others from exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials. This training is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens education when combined with site-specific instruction. It reflects the latest science and educational updates from the American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
Who should take this course:
The American Heart Association Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course is designed for individuals who have a reasonable risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens. This includes professionals such as correctional officers, childcare workers, security guards, maintenance staff, school personnel, hotel housekeepers, health and fitness club employees, and tattoo artists.
